What is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

All physiotherapists are trained to be able to manage musculoskeletal injuries. However as with the practice of medicine some people go on to pursue further formal training and acquire specialised skills.

APA musculoskeletal physiotherapists have undergone further rigorous post graduate training usually at Masters level in the diagnosis, management and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries.

Only physiotherapists who have undergone the additional training can use the title Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist.
